I just started this book, and found that it is pretty good. She is so down to earth and gives great advice.

Here's what I tell my students on the first day when I teach one of my creative writing courses:

I don't like books on writing. Maybe just because I hate people telling me what to do. :p The only one I actually read was Stephen King's On Writing, and I didn't even like that one so much. Although the autobiography part was great...
