Not to seem like I have a one track mind or anything, but two books Ive just read and loved both happened to have it in common.

Anyways, try: Drinking, Smoking and Screwing
I is a collection of poetry, short stories, essays, and excerpts. For anyone who likes a good anthology or just the finer things in life ;-). It is filled with beat writers and everything was published before 1980. A good find for sure.

The other is Sex, Dugs, and Cocoa Puffs. I was surprised not to see anyone mention this before, maybe they did before my time. It is a collection of essays that really make you think. The author, Chuck Klosterman, is a pop culture genius and weaves interesting little rants with things like The Real World and internet porn. Sounds crazy but give it a try.

Both books are great and besides look at it this way: Everyone could use a little more :lol:

Sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs is sort of thrown together and really isn't a work of literature as much as it is a giant editorial.

Chuck Klosterman is good, don't get me wrong, but don't you think he talks way too much about sports and mix tapes?
