Has anyone read The Secret Country trilogy by Pamela Dean? Personally, the books are one of my favorites! They may not be all that "new" but that doesn't mean they're not good. (I believe the first book of the trilogy was published in... 1985?)

The first book is; The Secret Country
The second; The Hidden Land
The third; The Whim of the Dragon

They are great fantasy books and almost any fantasy reader should pick them up, especially if you like Shakesphere. Quite a few characters in the series talk like Shakespere heck, some of the lines are by Shakesphere! If I can follow it though you people defiantly can! I haven't even taken anything in school about Shakesphere and I could follow it!

Shakesphere? Is that the nervous round guy? heh... I think you meant the playwrite, Shakespeare.

Heh, yeah, that's what I meant. lol! Like I said though, I've never took anything in school about him yet so I wouldn't know. :p :lol:
