First, we let the backwoods republicans of our great nation re elect this insufferable tyrant, then, and this is the kicker, we just lie down and accept it. Just because he gets four more years doesn’t mean we have to make it nice for him. And don’t give me any of that “True Americans support their president” malarkey, the patriotism argument died with our first soldier in Iraq, and even the fools who voted for Mr. Bush are kicking themselves in the ass right now.
So, Saddam’s gone, who cares? He never pissed in my backyard. Osama is still roaming the hills, I cant believe that shit, someone has got their head stuck up their ass on that one. Where is the organization? Has old Georgey boy finally taken one too many happy pills and lost all sense of direction? Osama was last seen in Afganastan, not Iraq.

It’s the only phrase I can think of to properly describe the events of early November, 2004. Did everyone just forget about the last four years? Where did Micheal Moore go? Strangly, I haven’t heard from him since that lame ass election day thing he posted on the internet. What a leader we got there, one setback and he goes into hiding. He’s a fat bastard, a coward, and never played football, because if he did, he would have learned to lose gracefully. And make no mistake, he lost.
Maybe I’m being too presumptuous, maybe he’s not in hiding. He could be in Gitmo, being held indefinitely under suspicion of terrorism. Hell, he could be in a basement somewhere plotting his next ill fated move, who knows. One thing we do know is he isn’t out there fighting to get Bush recalled. Nice leadership there buddy, you got millions of kids listening to every word you say, along with the ability to organize a real protest, and you do nothing. Like I said before, fat bastard.
So, what do we do now, us, the leaderless youth of America? Do we search for some other paper hero, in hopes he won’t abandon us at first sign of trouble? We’ve done that before, it didn’t work. Is there some kind of organization we can join? No, those people are mostly stuck up pricks who don’t answer their e-mails unless dollar signs are attached. So what can we do?
I’ll tell you what we can do. Do what we do best. If you’re a writer, write, if you’re an artist, draw, if you’re a musician, make music. Above all, speak your mind through your artwork, whatever medium you may use. We have to let people know we aren’t happy, not only our people, but people around the world, and even future generations. We need to use our creativity to stand out, higher and stronger than any have ever before. It won’t be easy, but these aren’t easy times, and we aren’t easy people. It’s time to start testing those in power with our freedom of expression. It’s the only real weapon we have.
