Kinda new here but wassup.

Im mainly a screenwriter and the idea of a good premise is always essential to a good movie or story. So if you've got written scripts, or just ideas but you've got the premise or central plot- post em here. To be fair I'll post the first one. I have written about 5 fully complete scripts with tons more unfinished and even more ideas not yet on paper. But here's one for the one I'm currently working on. Ill post the others at a later time.

Its entitled "Inner Realm"

Premise:

Twenty Seven year old Alex Chavez is an adventurer, explorer, and treasure hunter. Together he and a group of colleauges research lost cities and ancient mysteries. While reading a book Alex discovers the name of one Enrich Page. In the book Page is named as a man who recounted an incredible story of discovering a lost city of gold hidden within a hollow mountain deep inside the jungles of South America. What led beyond the city was what he described as "pure hell". Claiming to be captive for seven years inside this subbterainien world of horrors he escapes by sheer luck. Fasinated by the stroy Alex contacts Page. Page is an extremely reclusive hermit who prefers no outside contact. Alex inquires as to what Page knows, but Page refuses to let on about anything. Alex tells Page he believes his story and persuades him to tell his side. After giving Alex the information he needs, Page warns him not to embark on this journey. Alex does not heed this warning and embarks with his colleages on a daring expedition to the Amazon jungle. They trek through steaming forests and discover Page's lost city of gold within a hollow mountain and beyond that, mankind's worst nightmare come true.

Great idea and a Great idea.
Question? Are you/everyone giving other writers themes so that they can take a stab at script writing or just sharing. This could be a good thing for new writers to sharpen dialogue skills.

Well it wasn't intended for idea giving, but if ppl derive ideas from it, so be it. But to answer the main question yes it was mainly for sharing.

Not to shabby but it sounds to me like it is more "loosely" based off the movie "Congo". with a few changes here and there, but then again Tomb Raider is really just a female version of Indiana Jones...

I thought Congo was about talking apes...

Nope, there wazs an ape in the movie that knew how to do sign language, but the movie itself refers to "the Congo" which is part of an african rainforest, where there is supposedly a hidden city of gold...

My mistake. The things that Hollywood implants in our brains through movie trailers is terrible, isn't it?
