All I have to say is that this book reads quickly but is absolutely spectacular. It has everything needed to make a good book--plenty of action, great doses of intrigue and politics with the laws of the time, honor, character interaction, and love, both for one's wife and family, and even one's mistress. Overall, I think it's a great book that while it might not really teach anything not already known, is just a very entertaining read about a tale of feudal japan which might as well have been fantasy the way it was written, except it lacked any semblance of magic.
