I´ve read all of his books, and though I´m not an expertise in history, I think they´re quite well documented, and very well written. His last book is The Last Supper, and though it might seem that he´s taking advantage of the Da Vinci hype, the truth it´s that he´s not new to this kind of subject. He´s written several books about themes like the "secrets" of the Vatican, the trip of Napoleon to Egypt where he spent one night alone at the Pyramid of Keops, the Knights Templar, etc. I highly recommend you to read his books if you wasn´t impressed by the Da Vinci Code.
I give you some links where you can read some reviews of his last book, though for me not his best, my favourite of him was The Blue Lady.
