Here's a few I have reviewed lately, for those who are looking for some contemporary nonfiction essayists.

Off Season by Ken McAlpine ISBN 1-4000-4973-3
Cutty, One Rock by August Kleinzahler ISBN 0-374-13377-8
The Disappointment Artist by Jonathan Lethem ISBN 0-385-51217-1 (Due out April 2005)

Everyday is a Good Day by Wilma Mankiller ISBN 1-55591-516-7. (Native American women speaking on a variety of subjects. Very eloquent, well written, informative, inspirational.)
