Epitaph of a Lost Musician (1 Viewer)

When I died, there was silence.
I was in the space between the notes.
Where all sound comes and goes,
On blank parchment and sentient ink.

I was the space, and the space was me.
Infinite, infinitesimal directions around.
To choose where to go in this vast expanse
Between two lives, two notes of sound.

I suppose in this greater symphony
I shall choose the sweetest pitch
Of all the voices to be had.

There to compose in another Life
A melody more majestic than ever imagined.

Your first stanza is brilliant! For me, the entire message is in that first stanza, nothing else was needed ;) Love the poignant, melancholy vibe...Thanks for sharing...

This poem, although poignant...makes me sad inside. I feel so sorry for the musician that has died, and the widowed unnamed recluse trying to keep his or her flame alive.

Such feels, such beauty, such emotion. *bursts into tears*

If I had to choose lines I like most? I would choose the ones I quoted :)
Musical, beautiful poem.
