These are books I would recommend for those would like Dungeons and Dragons style stories:

--Any book by T.H. Lain
--The Redemption of Althalus by David and Leigh Eddings (or anything else they wrote for that matter)(their books go further than just D&D style, they're just plain awesome, especially The Redemption of Althalus)
--Any of R.A. Salvatore's books
--Also, Edward Bolme's books are good

Actually, I hated the Redemption of Althalus. Seemed like they mostly recycled characters from their other works. I'm also not a fan of the The Dreamers. However, the Belgariad, the Malloreon, the Elenium, and the Tamuli are phenomenal works of fiction.

I'd also recommend Steven Brust and Christopher Stasheff.

I'm reading George R.R. Martin at the moment. He's a phenomenal writer, but not a particularly happy one.
