A Long Way Down, Nick Hornby's latest book is a marvel. In his humourous style, he draws the reader into the lives of four suicidal people and allows us to feel their frustrations, challenges and tiny triumphs. Somehow this novel is both deeply dark and pleasantly breezy.

Hornby has an ease with dialogue, voice and unconventional plotlines that I adore. I couldn't put this down.
