Hi Torus, thanks for the link. I can see the inspirational source but, you have to admit, you nailed it in fewer words - and you picked up on the blue tongue! ;)

Did the giraffe eat a blueberry popcicle? Like kids who often get blue tongues? Or is its tongue naturally blue? Playful poem. Made me smile. I don't care if it is two syllables short!

A giraffe's tongue is decidedly blue
and longer than you'd believe too,
it's poked out all the day,
grabbing leaves, thorns and hay,
and blue is a sun-screening hue.

Learn something every day! Perhaps giraffes in a zoo also eat blueberry popsicles when the zoo keepers or zoo visitors provide them.
