    Where do you get your Literary Maneuvers prompt suggestion ideas from?

    Do they come from the bowels of your imagination or are they driven by the real world? Mine are imagination/bowels but I'm gonna put up one next time that's driven by a real world event.

    I have a big Phrases and Prompts master Google Doc where I collect snippets that sound cool...my goal is that every prompt suggestion I give is like a two- or three-word poem. It should sound beautiful or fascinating or arresting in and of itself, even if it doesn't get voted in. Sometimes things just "come to me." Other times I consider a type of story I would like to write, than think of a phrase that would "go with" that story so that I can write it if it gets voted in. Often I pull from lyrics or song titles or my own story/poem worlds.

    Hah I have the same Little phrases that come by. I tried converting some of them into lyrics once (actually a few times) ... with limited success ...
