Re-introducing myself

Hi there.

I joined this site a very long time ago. I was still in School at the time and in my teens, I think it was in 2010. A lot has changed since then, and I like to think I've matured a bit since those days. I'm a more busy Adult now. I used to post some snippets of my writing, but was always afraid of criticism I think. I am much more open to it now, and recently I've been wanting to get back in to Creative Writing again. Just need to start somewhere, at the moment I'm mulling over ideas I have.

Unsure when I'll share some of my work, but I'd like to eventually. It seems like the site will be moving to new software soon? That is great news, and looks like I couldn't have joined back in at a more perfect time.

I wanted to start off 2021 on a positive note, and writing as a hobby seems like a great outlet for stress. I'm kind of fed up of watching Netflix, and wasting time. I want to spend more time taking up Reading & Writing. They seem like much more productive ways to spend my time.

Anyways, that is me. I'm Brandon as you can gather from the username. It's nice to meet you all (again!)

Yeah, it has been especially hard with the Pandemic. There isn't much to do, so I don't blame people for wasting time. Personally I really want to do something productive this year, though. It is better for my mental health to do some writing, and at least give it a shot.

I only write as a hobby, I have no goal of being published, so there is no pressure and it's a good stress relief for me. Despite that, I still want to improve on my writing.

It's always nice to come back to somewhere you used to post and see it still alive and kicking. Forums are so much better than Social Media, shame the younger generation aren't as keen on the idea. I have always preferred boards like this for chatting. More anonymous and honestly, has cooler people.

Agree. I am a member of a few mosaic FB groups. If I don't check every day contents and comments disappear. boards such as WF are great, but they are very expensive to maintain.

Yeah, I really am grateful to the people such as yourself that keep these sites running and to those who also donate as well. I would gladly donate if I was in a better place, but the pandemic has really taken a toll on me.

I have tried Twitter, Facebook and Reddit and just could not get on with them. I feel so out of touch these days. I am glad to have grown up and seen internet forums at their peak. The internet seemed much more exciting back then.
