Just after dawn on the Mississippi

“Fools” said I, “You do not know
    Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence : Simon & Garfunkel

Of course I love all these fabulous photos.... but I must confess, I find the empty and abandoned buildings soooo, well... so poetic.... each photo is a story, don't you think?

Thank you for sharing, I always enjoy viewing the world through the eye of your camera... so mysterious...
She lost herself in the trees,
    among the ever-changing leaves.
She wept beneath the wild sky
as stars told stories of ancient times.
The flowers grew toward her light,
the river called her name at night.
She could not live an ordinary life,
with the mysteries of the universe
    hidden in her eyes....

Thanks, Fire! I'm drawn to the textures and history in these buildings. You are right, there is a story in each one.

Thank you very much, beautiful photos. There are many photos that I have looked at and the look does not linger. And your photos attract the eye and give a lot of space for reflection.

Thank you. It is good to know that some of the feeling the scenes evoked in me came through to the viewer. That's the best I can hope for.
