Thread: Write Me A Poem!

    I like it

Okk here is mine... it is a real tongue twister....

I am a late night weeper
I lost my love to the Grim Reaper
now he is a silent sleeper
guarded by the secret soul keeper
    dark soul seeker midnight creeper
    secret keeper late night weeper

Now I am a Never Sleeper
    just a lonely memory keeper
and a late night secret creeper
    never sleeper midnight weeper
lost love seeker late night creeper
    waiting for the Grim Reaper

She lost herself in the trees,
    among the ever-changing leaves.
She wept beneath the wild sky
as stars told stories of ancient times.
The flowers grew toward her light,
the river called her name at night.
She could not live an ordinary life,
with the mysteries of the universe
    hidden in her eyes....
    Author: Christy Ann Martine

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
love leaves a memory no one can steal....

I imagine it will almost a call and response reading. Kinda want ti to build, like one of those camp fire songs where you repeat two or three words from each verse as an ever elongating refrain that build as the song goes.
You can never hate something so thoroughly as that which destroys what you love, and who is more guilty of this crime than the stranger who was once a lover?

Gadsby is a 1939 novel by Ernest Vincent Wright which does not include any words that contain the letter E such as “the”, the most common word in English. A work that deliberately avoids certain letters is known as a lipogram. (Wikipedia.org)

The novel is 266pg. 50'000 words. This kind of work is also called constrained writing, or a constraint. A poem without adjectives is also a constraint. So is a poem without pronouns, or one without articles.

My challenge now is more visual in nature. I want a shape poem. Wow me with both your verse and ascii art skills!
