    Have I got it right?

    I have a character called 'Miss P.' whose philosophy I am contrasting, and got (unpunctuated)

    Unlike Miss Ps If I were to decide...

    So obviously Miss P. is an abbreviation and needs the stop, then possessive apostrophe, then a comma before going into quotes.

    Unlike Miss P.'s, 'If I were to decide...

    Four punctuation marks round one 's', it just seems so excessive, thank goodness it is not Mr. P. , I might try completely rephrasing.

    It looks like you posted that for fun, and it was.

    On the serious side, I don't think you need the possessive at all.

    "Joe told me he likes green," said Ralph.

    "Unlike Joe, I prefer Blue," insisted Henreitta.

    You wouldn't write or say "Unlike Joe's", unless you were to put a word like "opinion" or "viewpoint" after it.
