    days one to eight

    Day 1
I am fed to the teeth through and through
With endeavours that I do not do
    What can I say
    A poem a day
I can not believe it is true

    Day 2
    Apoem takes time to mature
Sit in mindís chimney and cure
    Writing in haste
    Seems like a waste
It wonít scan and the rhymes are not pure

    Day3
Poets of the past who were great
    Were always willing to wait
    For some passing muse
    With ideas to chose
And they are the ones whom I rate

    Day 4
Some donít make it rhyme or scan
Or use words that are iffy or slang
I throw hands in the air
    With utter despair
They want it to end with a bang

    Day 5
The new posts are all filled with NaNo
There is nowhere else left to go
    Would it be a sin
    If I joined in?
If Iíd catch up I can not be slow

    Day 6
I never last for the duration
If I use stuff like punctuation
    Donít go to town
    Just get it down
    This is a dire situation

    Day 7
Well, I guess that Iíve nearly caught up
The next should be cream of the crop
    But do I care
    To take it so far
As thirty before I can stop

    Day 8
    It's meant as a laugh and a a bluff
Although Iím not finding it tough
    To spin a quick rhyme
    I wonít waste your time
I think this is really enough

Don't worry, shan't be round tomorrow.

Sorry, Olly, it's probably especially bad when someone like me is ham-handing poetry. I enjoyed your catching-up above, though!

Hey Olly, I liked this. Fun rhythm, and tightly woven.

On the typo side, I noticed:

    "Day 2
    Apoem takes time to mature"

I assume it's meant to be "a poem", unless apoem is a word I'm unfamiliar with.

    "For some passing muse
    With ideas to chose"

    Choose, right? For the rhyme.

Glad to see you're still haunting this place. It's been a while!
    - And in the darkness, when you find this, I'll be out of reach.

Hey, Farror! It has indeed been a while. Glad to see you are still as perceptive as ever, it should indeed be 'A poem' and 'Choose'. I, as you see, am as slapdash as ever

Thank you everyone for replying, not really expected. You are very generous for something so off the cuff.

Ollie, Ollie, Ollllie.... what ARE we going to do with you.....
She lost herself in the trees,
    among the ever-changing leaves.
She wept beneath the wild sky
as stars told stories of ancient times.
The flowers grew toward her light,
the river called her name at night.
She could not live an ordinary life,
with the mysteries of the universe
    hidden in her eyes....

love leaves a memory no one can steal....
