    Late afternoon at the dunes

I went back the the Guadalupe reserve in the late afternoon, but the weather had changed. There were 45 mph winds coming off the Pacific blowing sand and salt-spry everywhere. No to be deterred I made the best of a nasty situation...

A lowering sun, through salt spray...

Not out of focus, blowing sand...

“Fools” said I, “You do not know
    Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence : Simon & Garfunkel
