    How realistic is this scenario?

So I have an idea for a little series of stories set in the real world but there's a monstrous world hidden in plain sight. Been done before yes. But I want to do a story about a government agency assigned to keep a lid on this other world. Now my big idea is for this agency to a) have a fully operational front going i.e. they run a news business so they can go from place to place and not be all to conspicuous. Point b) is that I want them to recruit special individual's from the normal human population. Is there a way for them to do this in a realistic way without it seemingly being to convoluted?
This might not be my best work but that just means there's room to improve.

I'd say so. It doesn't sound convoluted. Sounds pretty good actually

-Sounds like men in black....ish Even the most ludicrous plot can be made real by good writing, this is a favourite conspiracy theory so it will work on many levels. Good luck.

That's what I was going to say. It's been done and they've even made movies. That's not to say it couldn't be interesting if you take an entirely different tack. Nothing is original, after all.

I remember making a thread for the weapons involved with this story, I'll have to go back to that and see what guns this group will have.

I thought of MIB or Adjustment Bureau. Seems totally doable. If the org needs people that are unusually good at X (ie talking smoothly, quick wit, ultra strong, etc) they focus on reporting on activities where those kind of people are common. For example, if they need super strong people, they run a weightlifting magazine and attend all the weightlifting events.

Now that I've thought about it I failed my own brain. I was originally going to make the front a supernatural documentary group, because the whole point of this series is that the crew would be going from state to state tackling real life locations i.e. the energy vortex down in Sedona AZ. That way they have an even more legitimate reason to be wherever they are with cameras. I'll probably change it back when I write up the first draft and post it up here.

This website is bad for my health! Lol! I've already had a profound idea pop into my head once and now again. Great back to the drawing board. Maybe I'll even start uploading this series so you all can read it.

    That might be interesting.

Tabloid magazine? They can write the true story up so bizarre that no one believes it. Whenever people see them around they don’t take them seriously. Just a thought & possibly a different take.
