    News and Announcements

    Cacophony Accepting Submissions

Writing Forums is set to launch 'Cacophony' in November - an online magazine that will feature contemporary fiction and poetry that is 'challenging, invigorating, thought-provoking and vital'. Submissions are open to everyone, WF members and non-members alike. For further details, please check out the Cacophony website.

    Writing Forums Revamp

Changes to the layout of WF continue afoot. The Prose Workshop, only open to WF members, has now been split into 'Fiction Workshop' and 'Non-Fiction Workshop' - with a seperate sub-section for speculative fiction. So, if your spaceship is crewed by zombies and under attack from dragons, you know where to head.

    Fundraising Update

A message from Senior Administrator Gumby:

'Our fundraising is going well and we've come close to hitting our goal each month, even surpassing it a few times! A big thank you to all who have given donations and to those who have subscribed to FoWF, you are very much appreciated! We couldn't do this without you.'

    August

'Remember to be gentle with yourself and others. We are all children of chance and none can say why some fields will blossom while others lay brown beneath the August sun.'

Wrote the wonderful American author Kent Nerburn - most surely, a blossomer.
