    Congratulations, ned!
She lost herself in the trees,
    among the ever-changing leaves.
She wept beneath the wild sky
as stars told stories of ancient times.
The flowers grew toward her light,
the river called her name at night.
She could not live an ordinary life,
with the mysteries of the universe
    hidden in her eyes....

    Well done.
I find that my lack of knowledge can sometimes be an asset in that I'm forced to try new things because I don't have any other options.

thank you all - this is indeed an honour - and a lovely surprise.

It's funny - Visiting Time was workshopped to death - critics pulled it apart from every angle, it seemed,
and I sometimes went with it - taking things out and rearranging a few of the lines and verses.
but as the process went on with much debate and discussion, the poem kind of un-evolved back to its original form.

oh well, it's all part of the fun on WF - and I wouldn't want it any other way!

    really appreciate the encouragement..............Ned
