She lost herself in the trees,
    among the ever-changing leaves.
She wept beneath the wild sky
as stars told stories of ancient times.
The flowers grew toward her light,
the river called her name at night.
She could not live an ordinary life,
with the mysteries of the universe
    hidden in her eyes....

Impressive ... your romantic pieces always carry a dark edge. And as others have noted, the final line is a twist that changes the complexion of the piece.

Jul, what on earth are you sayin? The first verse you say "I own you". But the 2nd verse you say, "you own me". Stick to your lines, ok?
    Let the pleasure be yours?

mmm... exactly the way it works... even if there are no actual handcuffs involved. But with real ones it is... mmm

There were reassuringly regular, almost hypnotic, two line statements going in the first stanza and then I was woken up by "and my silken skin" breaking the pattern in the second. Pleasant overall though.

Don't get me going on virtual bondage though. Think about it next time you're waiting for the kettle to boil -- and that's just a mindless device -- allegedly.
