    Ugh

It seems all I ever really seem to have is bad news. I took a second weekend job because my car was dying. The money was just enough to cover a possible car payment after a month. Well--that has been changed because today my boss at my regular job let me know that my hours are being dropped to 30 a week instead of 40. So now the few hours I picked up at my second job will be making up for the missing pay from my first job.

It's starting to feel like I can't land on my feet. I don't want or really need a handout or hand up of any kind but someone to listen and give me a hug would be nice. Just after Mother's Day it makes me really miss my mom.

There's a bit of a bright light on the horizon--the weekend job has the possibility of becoming a full time job that pays nearly double what I make a year now. I just have to wait for the lady who does the job during the week to retire--which could be next year or in five.

weird the way life treats you sometimes..often when summit goes wrong it all tends to go pear shaped...but vice versa to..bit of good luck comes your way and usually in 3's
The only one who can heal you is you.

    Ugh indeed, Ams.

My father used to say it's not a sin to be poor, but it is damned inconvenient. Hugs all around!

If you talk to a cat they look at you as if you are way below their intelligence to even listen.
However, when you talk to a dog they look at you with such admiration and really do seem to understand what you are saying.
Even if it is a bit silly...
...they still think you are wonderful.

Hang in there darlin', it's amazing what we can accomplish when we need to. I thought I'd have to look into a third job for pitty's sake. Fortunately I made myself indispensable at job one and job two n' yow everybody is willing to work with me on hours now. You'll figure out what needs doing too.

Here's hoping that lady retires sooner than later!

I would talk about it with family members or friends but they're all, if you can believe it, in worse financial straits than I am with at least one unable to find or keep a job. I keep hearing news that the economy is recovering but I don't see or feel that yet.

So, thank you, all of you.

We read reports of the average weekly wage being *@&%£$ and it's like WHAT?

Where are these guys getting their info from?

Boy, I sure know what you mean. Seems like every time you get one tiny step ahead, you have to take two steps back. But, I also know that when I look at my situation honestly, I need to just shut my mouth, as I'm sitting pretty compared to many around me.
