Thread: Use this line in a poem.

  1. #221
Sip from the cup if you dare
sip from the bile of a witches stare
roots of hogwart, stems of kale
brew crow feathers to frothy ale
a drop of milkweed, a nail of toe
A cup at bed will make your hair grow

    flowers and fire
    shades of blue and yellow

    this range of life
I will not leave you to, alone.

I will keep you in swadling,
    forever pink and pure.

    given this impossibility,
as you grow, I will teach
    you how to paint rainbows

    before you come to know
    this science of brown earth
    you will understand that

    shades of blue and yellow
are also hues of bruises healing.

    and that they will ache
    over and over, again.

and that you will feel ease
    over and over, again.

Wading through shades of blue and yellow
    you will become golden.

    Stately is the wild flower
    Towering in the summer breeze.

    Lately beneath falling leaves
In the lee of the maple tree.

Greatly when the white winds blow
    Poking heads through the snow.

Through the rain clouds beyond the cumulus
reach for the sky in search of the blue
day is anew as the sun shines

bow to grateful second chances adding more time
live a life, let a dream be true
reach for the sky in search of the blue

with pennies in his coffers singing sweet noel

    when the first snow falls

  6. #226
Your eyes glimmer like thousand stars,
Shinning and shimmering a window of your heart,
The wind brings a whisper of your words,
Sending me fluttering to the sky wrapped by a blanket of clouds.

"It is you and me against the world"
We promised on the altar with heavens law,
Spring was the beginning with birds singing tunes of our adventurous future.

    Time is precious,
    Time has passed,
    When the first snow falls,
    Until death do us apart.

    Next line:
There goes the man in blue shirt.

There goes the man in the blue shirt
I see him often, though we never speak
    And yet our paths cross
    Day in and day out

    I wonder who he is.
    Were we meant to meet?

Next line: Without coffee, life is chaos.

  8. #228
I cracked my phone with the sound of my alarm,
I lost one shoe at the bottom of the stairs,
My bag was caught between the doors of the tram,
    Without coffee life is chaos.

    Okey I tried.

Next line: nothing is everything, and everything is nothing.

Nothing is everything and everything is nothing.
    Floating through space, drifting away
Like bits and pieces of time.

Next line: What do you get when you fall in love?
Someone: You attract what you fear.
Me: I'm terrified of Alan Cumming.

  10. #230
What do you get when you fall in love?
The gift of tenderness and the annihilation of the soul
as you caress the one who holds your heart in their hands.
    A nervous balancing act,
    between vulnerability and obliteration.

Next line: The pieces of this puzzle do not fit.
