    POD Sites

Questions about vanity publishing and POD keep coming up on the publishing board. The short, easy answer to most questions is the same; avoid those organisations which want large amounts up front. The recommended sites for those wishing to self publish are Lulu and CreateSpace, the latter being a part of Amazon.com. There are advantages to each so it's advisable to read through the sites a little to see which best meets your individual needs.

    Lulu.com

    CreateSpace

lulu has a bad reputation although they are not the worst
you can do createspace and kindle for free

bookbaby would be a better pay site than lulu
booklocker would be too but they are selective not a true vanity press
