To get an idea of what fans call the Princess' "supersonic" piano playing (she only has a Grand Piano, not a band), listen to songs like Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls Of Fire" and especially Locomotiv GT's "Won't You Dance With Me?" which is the only song I have ever heard that sounds like the Princess playing piano.

The chords are simple: an A progression. It is the Princess' ruffles, fills and flourishes, at age 9, during the "musical interlude"s, which catch everyone's attention. Actually, I'd be the first to admit that the lyrics are not earth-shattering either: just "amazing for a 9 year old".

In the video, the Princess sings in English and the song is originally English not Spanish. The video is at her 9th birthday party and she sings two English songs and one Japanese song for her British International School party guests and two Spanish songs (posted in the translation section) for her Guatemalan friends.

CAN'T YOU HEAR ME?

This pianoíll put a smile on your face
Youíll never think about drums, guitar or bass
Come on, baby, canít you hear me?

Come on, everyone,
Your feet canít stand there
In a minute have your heels in the air
Come on, baby, canít you hear me?

CHORUS:

Because when I start to rock
Youíd better roll, roll, roll
ĎCos this new kind of musicís
Got an old soul, soul, soul

And the first time you hear it
You will know, know, know
Your feet ainít stoppiní
You canít stop rockiní
So you know, you know, you know, you know
[Music stops] Owww! Youíve lost control!

Yeah, here it comes!

[Musical Interlude]

Everybodyís got to feel that music
Everybodyís got to get on this new thing
Come on, baby, canít you hear me?

Can't understand it?
Well, thatís all right, hey!
If you can feel it then you know itís OK,
Come on, baby, canít you hear me, me, me, me?
Ow-w-w-w-w!

[CHORUS]

Watch it now!
Look out!

[musical interlude]

Come on, baby, let it take you over
New kind of music, not ďMiracle LoverĒ
Come on, baby, canít you hear me?

Everybodyís got to feel that music
Everybodyís got to get on this new thing
Come on, baby, canít you hear me?
Come on, baby canít you hear me?
COME ON, BABY, CAN'T YA HEAR ME?[shouted and the ME crescendoed one octave]

[musical conclusion] End on A chord.
