  1. The Night Before Lightoff (With Annotations and Apologies to Clement Clarke Moore!)

    I spent three years aboard the battleship USS Missouri (BB-63) and qualified as an engineroom supervisor. Bringing a marine steam powerplant from cold iron all the way to 'ready to answer bells' is almost a lost art. I thought that I would document the process in verse. Enjoy.
