To the Poet that got away

If I had been the beast that caught you
I would have caught you last.
I would have been the animal
that won the prize
my hands tracing the seams
of your exotic skin
smoothing the scars on your hands
cradled like an apple
in mine.

I would have eaten your fingers
tasted the feast
of what I’d been craving
all these days.

You, inside me.

I enjoyed all three of these excellant and thrilling poems- it's a different style - a harder dirt and grit style then the one you normally write in. Kudos!
