Super Bowl 2018

Superdull Sunday. It just slipped out. I must be either a commie or a homo, right? Yeah, well, I didn't even know what two teams were playing. How's that grab ya? Like a lockeroom reach around, huh? I almost feel guilty, like not knowing the words to the pledge-a-legance or something.
Patriots versus Eagles. Two teams all the way back on the east coast. Might as well be a different country. They probably talk funny, like 'Ayep' and 'Caffy' (coffee), or '...down on toighty-toid and toid.' Okay, so maybe not the last one. I think that was Curly.
I ain't no commie- too much of a realist- an' you can keep your hairy asses, dick and ball-sacks to yourselves- I got no interest. Just like I got no interest in Football. Sorry.

It's okay, Kevin. It's not my fandom, either. I do respect diversity and I understand that a lot of folks held (or attended) watch parties for the season finale. They didn't want to miss the big reveal. I get that. My gripe is that many of these same people, who cosplay their favorite football characters and who do the watch parties and the fantasy gaming are derisive of my fandom choices and my fandom expressions.

Kevin spoken like a true left coast commie who hates God, Guns and Apple pie. Shame on you...don't you know the world revolves around everything that happens on the east coast. :}

Football & Golf are two sports on the ropes. Just poll the millennials. If it's not played with a mouse or thumbs, it's over.

I read during the game because Brady wouldn't let me be the one to feel his balls to see if inflated. He picked some young gal. Bastard.

You're not alone Kevin. Over this direction we played 5-year-old games and sang songs and ignored the game. Awkward high-five for Monday small talk which is going to be awkward, since every person we come in contact with is going to ask about the game... all you need to know is that the Mermen lost and the Vultures won by a hair. There were commercials and half-time shows, and other displays of grotesque Capitalism. :)

As a plug for my hometown where all the weak have been killed and eaten:

The most watched Super Bowl game was 1982 Motown game. I say it was super popular because my former high school classmate, Diana Ross, sang the anthem, and halftime show was all Motown performers. Baaby!

First game held in cold weather town. We had new enclosed stadium. Have newer one now. Our Lions can lose in anything. Like putting lipstick on pigs. We need to throw 'em out in the cold like in Green Bay. Toughen their asses up. Pussy boys shouldn't come from Detroit. Lions? My ass.

I am a long-suffering Dallas Cowboys fan all the way back to Eddie LeBaron and Don Meredith. I quit caring years ago. Baseball the only sport I care about, but still would rather play it than watch it. All about money anymore. I remember helping coach my son's soccer team. That was fun. Still, we played one team called the "Sharks," and they had a large banner with a shark on it and 4 cute little cheerleaders. I thought that was a little much.
Football, of course has been compared to Rome's gladiatorial games, think it gets worse every year.

Here's a football fact, most don't know. Most think college athletics, especially football, are self supporting. An expose in Detroit paper revealed the ugly truth. Only the powerhouse universities are. In Michigan, all but two have athletic teams propped up by tuition, to the tune of $1,100 per student per year. Americans think colleges exist for athletes. Explains much of our dumbness. I am hoping the millennials stick a fork in that meatloaf idea and call it done with their kids.

I came from an uneducated, blue collar family, first to graduate college. No way could I have afforded the outrageous debt students take on now. And, they better not major in poetry. Glad I didn't discover it until retired. STEM major rules, or no return on college investment today. Like stocks, an education is all about ROE. Memorize that.

You CLEARLY don't understand the concept of the game itself.

For Philly, winning the superbowl was like an unattainable dream for over FIFTY FUCKING YEARS.

Donovan McNabb FUCKED Philadelphia out of its ONE legitimate chance and that pussy can burn in hell.

Nick Foles IS Philadelphia, and Carson Wentz IS the MVP of this year's season, and Philly IS the champion this year.

FUCK TOM BRADY!
