Confessions...

Well, this may not be easy, lol. I'll try to be brief. Over the past few weeks I've had some difficulties in my life. The most prominent of the "signs" being that my mood, attitude, and verbal filter have been out of whack. I've been having some serious pain over the past week and a half, and the meds prescribed have made me a little less likely to bite my tongue, a little more likely to pop off at the mouth, and to be more than a little... hostile/belligerent. To make a boring story shorter, I'm not in love with the way the pills are treating me, and being in pain would be easier for me than anything else. Pain stinks, but I'd rather not lose friends.

A couple days ago I made a post here that... if it doesn't rub folks the wrong way, I'm not sure what would. That I was not "myself" is irrelevant because I feel like I need to make that right. I am sorry for being such a jerk, and for letting the ugliest side of myself show. I'm not normally such an ass. I am embarrassed and ashamed of how I've acted the last few days.

That said, those I rubbed the wrong way with my post on the 11th have a right to a rebuttal if they want one. In an effort to keep the forum clean and hospitable, my PM box is open to all, no holds barred, and (as long as it's about this) no use of the report function. I stepped on toes, and now I'm putting my toes in fair territory.

I don't even know what post you're referring to TJ, but I'm sure people will understand. I hope you can get your pain under control.

Goodness me, TJ. I never noticed any whacky comments from you. You are always such a gentleman :) I hope the pain subsides and you feel like your old self once more.

That none of us seem to know which post you're talking about, says a lot. And the fact that whatever you said, bothers you, says a lot about you, TJ. We are a family of sorts and that means we cut each other some slack. As PiP said, you are always such a gentleman. Hope you find a better alternative to those meds.

It was my previous blog post. I let my inner jerk out for an afternoon, lol. All jokes aside, it might rub some the wrong way and I don't want anybody to feel like I'm like that all the time.

I have one valuable piece of advice that I'd like to share with the world: no matter what age you happen to be, take care of your spine/neck. Several years ago, I managed to run over a speedbump too fast because I wasn't paying attention. I was trying to yell something to a friend of mine and wasn't watching. When my old car crossed the speedbump, I was leaning out the window and my head clanged into the top of the door frame. I felt nothing amiss, no numbness, no tingling, so I rubbed my sore head and went on with my life. I've had problems with my spine and neck since, starting a few months after. First my lower back, then my upper, lower again, and my neck has been a constant annoyance throughout. Pinched nerves aren't fun, especially up around the neck where it makes it uncomfortable to draw a breath. As it is, the problems only creep up when there's inflammation, and I only use pain meds when it's really bad and the anti-inflammatory meds are not working fast enough. I'll live. I put up with this for a long while before I even took it to a doctor for advice. :)

Gumby is right, we are like a family (a big crazy disfunctional family) and we don't like seeing family in pain or suffering.

All of that aside I have read your previous blog post and you were not a jerk.

Tj- sometimes... (whisper) I'm a jerk... big shocker, I know... but, it happens. It's all right. We all have short memories here, and if we don't, well... anyway, stuff happens. Moods, they... swing. It's okay, we're human. As long as you clean the blood up after you're done slitting someone's throat we're good. Know what I mean? What happens in WF stays in... Wf... or something like that. It's just a blog post and you were just kidding, I was just kidding, we all were just kidding.
