Writing Forums is a privately-owned, community managed writing environment. We provide an unlimited opportunity for writers and poets of all abilities, to share their work and communicate with other writers and creative artists. We offer an experience that is safe, welcoming and friendly, regardless of your level of participation, knowledge or skill. There are several opportunities for writers to exchange tips, engage in discussions about techniques, and grow in your craft. Benefit at the Echo-11/5/17

[FONT=.SF UI Display][FONT=.SFUIDisplay-Semibold]So, I went to a show last night. It was a benefit for one of the band-members-he'd been in a car accident or something. It was a 'retro'-show, a couple of bands from the seventies, one guy in another from the '80s. And one contemporary, happening 'now' band. [/FONT]

[FONT=.SF UI Display][FONT=.SFUIDisplay-Semibold]There were some youngsters in the crowd, and a lot of older people; some fogies from that era. I consider myself a fogie, thank you, [/FONT][/FONT]

[FONT=.SF UI Display][FONT=.SFUIDisplay-Semibold]At one point of the last band's performance an actual slam-pit broke out. Yeah, that's what we called it before the heshers took it over; not 'mosh-'. It was mellow, I mean there were maybe 200 people total at the show, and in the pit there were maybe six or eight. I was tempted, but no.... It was fun to watch. [/FONT][/FONT]

[FONT=.SF UI Display][FONT=.SFUIDisplay-Semibold]Anyway, after the music stopped and the show was done there were these three young girls- maybe in there early-early twenties, big smiles on their faces. They had that look, and I could tell it was their first time in a 'pit'. If you never have, well let me explain that the action, the adrenalin from the danger mixed with physical exertion etc. give you an exhilaration. They were all giggles and big smiles, and very cute; no one got hurt. Aw, the wee ones...[/FONT][/FONT]
