Almost there - Thank you!

I haven't been terribly active here lately because I've been working hard on my WIP. I've changed the title, done some extensive revisions/editing and found some wonderful betas who gave me great feedback!

Over the past nine months, I have gone on such a crazy ride of self-discovery, plenty of doubt and an unbelievable amount of learning. I am doing something I never thought I would do. Something I never thought I was good at, not really. But here I am. I have three manuscripts written, I finished my first ever Nanowrimo in April and have started my author platform. I am working my way (hopefully) towards success, but I know I still have a long way to go! Despite this fact, I can't help being excited. My goal of publishing my first book this year is close to becoming a reality. I am going to send out my first query letters by the end of the month; and although I fully expect to be rejected, I figure, if I expect it, I won't be disappointed, right? And, it will also push me to improve.

This forum introduced me to so much, and I am forever grateful for it. The welcoming community, the feedback given, the monthly challenges (which, I'm sorry, I've missed a few now) have all helped me immensely. I am still growing and learning, and while I still have plenty of days with little to no motivation, I press on. Every day I feel like I get a bit better, I learn something new. Even if it's just a new word I hadn't thought of using, every day teaches me something.

All that being said, I want to say a big THANK YOU! to all of you who have helped me along the way! <3

Hi Jane,

It's good to know WF helped you to achieve your goal in completing your first novel. Fingers crossed re the query letters. LouLou one of our members is an excellent example of why we should never give up hope. She finally struck lucky with a publisher and has now published her second novel. If you want to read her story for further inspiration check out her interview <Here>

Please don't forget to keep us apprised of your progress :)
