Hey all,
I've got a particular scene in my head for a film, and I'm trying to write it down in word.
The problem is with the rules of scriptwriting. I understand that you don't direct the camera or say things like "camera pans left" or something along those lines, so how does one draw the focus onto something in particular ?
I'll give an example...
I have a sniper looking through his scope, focusing on his current target to be (which is what I want the audience to see, rather then them watching a guy looking through his sniper, they need to be looking through it themselves), but when he pulls the trigger I want the closeup on the finger pulling the trigger, so we don't see who gets shot.
Reason for this is because I'm toying with having this scene at the very beginning.
Anyone able to help, or is it a case of 'Write down what you want people to see' ?
