a poets creed is much better... i think but it's a bit hard to listen to...well for me anyway

Is it - I find the old stuff far harder to digest, a lot of it is so overblown I lose patience. I tried reading Edgar Alan Poe's prose poem "Eureka" the other day and found myself saying "For goodness sake, get to the point will you..."

it was very broad..the definition of modern was only one persons perspective...Bloggsworth...the main thrust was the subject matter not the words..

The subject sounds awfully bare for a poem. The thought, the idea, the feeling, the love, despair, angst, but never the subject surely.

it's odd i know...what was relevant then is what's relevant now...but i think it was more about the personal perspective..confessional,beat...the words don't change just the delivery

it's a bit about poetry belonging and being written by average joe.....in the 20th century...like i said it's just one pov that i found intresting
