1) You'll need a fullscreen writing app. I used SCRIVENER (http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php) in the making of this video, but the free FOCUSWRITER (http://gottcode.org/focuswriter/) would work just as well (both programs available for both MAC and PC).

2) You'll need to download and set the background of your writing program to display the following typewriter/blank page image (five different color options available: Teal, Plum, Mocha, Olive, and Rose):

Download the ZIP file of all five typewriter background color schemes: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/download/file.php?id=3582
(Found at: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19954&start=0&hilit=typewriter+sounds)

3) You'll need a free program/app to play the typewriter sounds with each keystroke.

For MAC users: NOISY TYPER is the program you want (http://fffff.at/noisy-typer-a-typewriter-for-your-laptop/)
For PC users: QWERTICK is the program you want (http://www.nattyware.com/qwertick.php)

And you're all set! Now get writing! :)

VERY cool. Hah, I downloaded a book yesterday about learning to write 5000 words per hour doing writing sprints because I want to learn to write faster than 5 words per week (and those 5 words are HIGHLY edited--basically unrecoginizable from the first draft.) With this tool and my new writing sprint exercises, I may get up to 20 words per week by the end of the year! Woo hoo!

Hey TK!

With your own virtual typewriter, you'll be blazing through at least 25 words a week! :icon_cheesygrin:

P.S. What book was that, if you don't mind me asking?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it. :encouragement:
