View Full Version : Which [Sub-]Forum is appropriate to hear pros/cons/reviews of writing/plot software?

I wish I had found this forum before I bought the software I'm using, as there are many and they are not all identical-in function or price!

But I'm looking over the lists here, and nothing is screaming out to me as the place. In fact, a search for software doesn't point to any posts about software used or even evaluations of it/them.

So I'm only asking if there is such a place, as after my buying my first product, only now do I see pros & cons ("Why doesn't the burger I ordered look like the one on the menu above the counter?")... :)

Is it just considered inappropriate, as some might see how a user feels about a commercial product twisted into for-pay endorsements? ...or?

Thanks!

:)

There are several such threads. Search the forums for Scrivener.

My top picks are the new, online word if you write between devices (never lose your work) and Scrivener. Both are cheap and are filled with things to help you write.
