If anyone is interested in a good recent interview with Stephen King there is one available in the latest paper edition of Rolling Stone. (Nov. 06, 2014. pg. 72) I am hardly an expert on the man but the interview seems to me to be exhaustive and certainly covers a lot of ground including his opinions on his work, subsequent movies and the writing world in general.

I am not a regular reader of this publication and just happened to pick up this copy at the library for a little look-see into what they were up to. As far as I could see they are still pretty music based but seem to have the pull to land Stephen King.

I love Rolling Stone. They had an INCREDIBLE interview with George R.R. Martin a while back. Thanks for the tip.

I read this, very good read. Interesting to hear that the Dark Tower novels are basically first drafts O.O

I will have to check it out more often. Thing is that Jimmy Page's reconstruction of Led Zepplin is not really on my 'important' screen.:apathy:

He has gained fame and fortune disturbing people.:nightmare:

Terry thanks for the link, A good honest interview with some tough questions. I have always like Stephen King as a writer more than a person. As a fan each time I read about his personal life I always think less of him. As a writer he has all of my respect, if he were my neighbor we would not even be friends. That makes both of us odd. I know it, I wonder if he does?

I'm not surprised. I never liked them and I thought the stories weren't "well written." So, at least I can rest easy knowing that King didn't try to polish those things up before release. :)

(PS - Not that my personal opinion matters to anybody, much less King!

Thanks for that! I like those types of very easy interviews. I also like the fact that King doesn't have to edit his replies. King can swear like a sailor when given his druthers. :)

Thanks for the link. Really glad King's still with us- I was scared for him with the whole road-side accident thing.

But yeah, rolling stone has a tendency to be one of the better magazines still in print- they really go for news people care about, which I quite appreciate in contrast to CNN reporting on breast-size reductions, opinion pieces and late news.
