Hey guys, I recently self published my novel, and I am having trouble finding ways to promote it. I've tried to find numbers for Radio stations to request being interviewed as well as with newspapers. I've already got a twitter account, and I already have a facebook for the novel. What else can I do???

Send a free copy out to lots of people (whos opinions matter) asking for a review.

There are publicists that specifically handle self-published novels, like Enchanted Book Promotions and Lightning Book Promotions. Both do a lot and are cheap.

These two sites gave some great tips that I have started to implement. My book is not out yet, but everything will be in place and ready to go when it is. Posting your website in the book is a good tip it seems.

I have an acount on a dating site specifically to send messages to girl to get them to buy my book. It hasn't work but I've got a couple date out of it.

I'm also trying to get my book band in the southern US as any book that gets attention for the possiblity of being band instantly becomes a best seller. So far all my letters and email to southern churchs have not had the wanted results either.

Have fun, Jan
