Thread: Pen Names

I was wondering if its acceptable to use a pen name when you want to cover your ass for fear of loosing your job. I want to write an account of my experiences in my job field, but I'm afraid of my company finding out what I've written. I wouldn't use the name of the company I work for or the last names of the people I deal with. Would a publisher allow this if it is non-fiction?
