    Is this normal?

I don't know if this is normal or not, but have you ever had that feeling when no matter how many times you try to proof read your work, it doesn't make sense no matter what? I've been proof reading constantly for 3 days now, and the more I read the less sense it makes although I know logically that it does make sense.

    That normal?

Put it away until after Christmas, then look at it again.

Yes, it's normal... as painful as it is you have to put it away and start the waiting game or let someone else read it but then you won't believe them...lol...it's a never enging game, Ritcherd, sorry.

If I spend too much time revising something I begin to feel like I am lost in the words. What works is what others have said already -- get away from it for a little while.

Yes. I had to shove my manuscript to the side recently. And I have left it for a month now, in which time I have read numerous books, started a new one, and even read parts of the bible! Anything to avoid the old manuscript.
