    Question Deceptive Behaviour

I am writing a fantasy novel, and have come across a bit of a roadblock.

    OK...here's the scenario.

Ian and Denae are engaged to be married. Jaida likes Ian, and, because Deane is engaged to Ian...hates Denae passionately. Jaida wants Ian for her own, and will do anything she can to get him. The problem? Out of spite, Jaida has already done something to endanger Denae, and by accident, Ian was caught up in it too. Both were nearly killed, and have since found out that Jaida was responsible. Ian doesn't trust or like Jaida anymore, but has to keep her close because they are on a journey together, and Jaida knows too much about the situation to be allowed to go home.

I need to find a way to make Jaida become the "other woman" even if it's only in Denae's perception. What kind of things can I have Jaida do that will undermine Denae's confidence in herself and in her relationship with Ian?

    Any suggestions would be helpful!

    Thanks!

Even though Ian doesn't want Jaida in that way, Denae would be make to THINK that he does based off of events that happen or comments made (all initiated by Jaida). I'm looking for specific scenario's Jaida could do to bring her closer to her goal of getting Ian.

so you do want Ian and Jaida toget together in the end?
because as far as I know if a bloke does not desire a woman no matter what she does he still won't be interested in her.
I can think of Gone with the Wind Scenario where Scarlett O'hara did everything she could to be the guy who was not interested in her, cannot recall his name, and so even when the guy married Olivia de Aviland, the actress then she died after her pregnancy he still was not interested in Scarlet who in the end fell in love with Clark Gable.
so this is one way of looking at it.
Jaida can sexually entice him, and she can even manage to have sexual contacts with Ian but the point I am making is that if Ian does not have feeling for Jaida then she won't have him at least feeling wise.
    to answer qyour question

Jaida can dress up sexually entice Ian.
she could make up lies about Deane and tell I an that Deane was seeing someone else.
she could set both of them to fall out is the clue.
she could get Deane drunk and set her up with another guy she is so drunk for example, she is caught kissing another guy whilst Ian arrives and sees it all.
Jaide could set up Ian to be seen intereacting wiht other women by , faking text messages, makeup inhis suit pocket
Jaide could lie and tell Deane that Ian had a fling without whilst she was out..
I mean women are quite devious and can make up lies and make you believe,
    I know I am one
    does that make sense?

I think a common trope is to have Ian get into trouble and have Jaida rescue him. Ian will then feel some thanks (and Denae might see the two of them close - Jaida carrying his unconscious body even). Or have Ian get sick/injured and have Jaida care for him... especially if it is in some situation where Jaida is the expert and Denae feels extraneous.

(And it's just personal preference, but I would also urge against the name Denae. No specific reason, it just is difficult for my head and tongue to agree on. Jaida is somewhat better of a name. Ian is fine.)
