    Formatting woes

    Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I recentely entered a competition on this forum and when I copied and pasted my submission, it posted normal. But after the message was sent, the formatting was out of whack, leaving my work looking something like this...

Theboy fell in the mud,as he read his book.

(Sorry that's a bad example, just all I could think of right now.) Unfortunately rules show I cannot edit my work, thus leaving it looking unprofessional. Can anyone help me with this err, so it does not happen again?

    regards
    mm

Easy one this. You created it in Word, copied it and pasted it directly into the "Quick Reply" box. What you need to do is to go to the bottom right and click the advanced button - When in this window you can, at the top, click on the WORD icon which will produce a box asking if the forum can copy from the clip-board, to which you, of course, answer YES. Usually this will give you what you want, although the WF editor does seem to be a bit idiosyncratic, introducing carriage returns when you are expecting some thing else, so double-check when you have finished.

Dear Blogssworth, thank you kindly for that response. I will try that next time. I'm sad about the competition though.

    Thanks again sir.

    Happens to me every time.

Now I've learned to avoid reading my book whenever there is mud nearby.

Puzzled? When you have posted, you can click on the edit this post box and put the spaces back in - unless there are thousands of them....

NO darl, they don't want any editing in the competition threads... SAdly. Never mind.
I'll post more on the forum before entering comps, just for a while until I get used things...
