    Ideas for title

Hey guys. As you guys know, I am currently writing a story about a redneck who builds a time machine and travels back to Ancient Rome. Everything seems to be comin' along smoothly, but I lack a title. Any suggestions? I'm thinknig a Latin phrase would be cool, but I'm open to suggestions.

The redneck would not understand the Latin title, so I wouldn't go that way. Is there a Latin word or phrase that a redneck might confuse with something else perhaps... hmmmm... Google "Latin phrases" and common ones will come up. Then think like your redneck! Good luck!

    Done that. Cant find one.

The redneck is no idiot. He happens to be an expert on various subjects (mathematics, science, politics, engineering, etc).

How about "A Georgia Redneck in Caesar's Court?" Since the premise sounds like "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" with a southerner instead of a New Englander.

Kidding aside, if we knew more about the plot, we might be able to help. I would suggest leaving it unnamed or with a working title for reference until it's finished. Very often the best titles come from a line in the actual book or screenplay, best done at or near the end. So, my best suggestion is to wait. Just keep writing, and the ideal title will come to you at some later point.

I think my other post made the point that an intelligent redneck is a contradiction. While it might be worth a try, you should really consider the fact that anyone who has lived in the south in the past decade and still reads will find your premise for a redneck unbelievable. A redneck is not that smart, and those who are, aren't rednecks.

How about, "Nuts, Bolts, and Flannel"?
