Best Tool for Writing on Windows & iPad

I have been playing with Scrivener for Windows and like it very much. However, unlike the Mac version, there really isn't any iOS (iPad) sync coming in the near future. They started in Mac and it'll be a while before their Windows version catches up.

I really like the ability to sort and organize in an outline different blobs of text and move them around. That is the main appeal of Scrivener for me.

Anyone know of something that supports both Windows and iOS (iPad) that does this? Ideally, that saves to Dropbox?

Are you asking what Scrivener is? It's a writing app for Mac, with Win/Lin in beta.

I like it because it's one part word processor and one part corkboard/outline organizer.

The Mac version syncs with the iPad using Dropbox.
The Win version (which has not been released yet - it's in beta) doesn't support this yet and it may be some time.

I was wondering what other alternatives exist.

I am using the 'docs' app that is linked to gmail to write mine. That way I can add to it whenever I need to. Not the easiest to do on the iPad, but I can do some on the Mac at home or the pc at work. It's always synced and backed up on their servers as you type. It does have some down sides, like not having all the features that Word has, for example.
