There's a short story, made of four scenes:

i) The thoughts of a psychotic man.
ii) Verbal conflict between Psycho and Rival.
iii) Going deeper into the Psycho's mindframe.
iv) The thoughts of the Rival and the vengeance by the Psycho.

I'm writing (i)-(iii) in first person through the Psycho's eyes, and (iv) in omniscient 3rd person.

But, elaborating on the psycho's twisted views on morality at first may be offputting. Focusing on the conflict is more of an attention grabber, but that spoils the whole tension building structure.

Advice, please?
