    Writer's Prompt Ideas

I'm trying to figure out an interesting writer's prompt for my magazine. I'm thinking horror or thriller would be fun to do. I write in those genres occasionally, but they are usually just a written version of a weird dream or nightmare I had.

Do you enjoy the occasional prompt?
And what sort appeal to you?

I've only recently taken to using prompts as a catalyst for writing. I find that I enjoy very general ones that leave you with plenty of latitude to create your own context. Prompts that are too stringent tend to scare me away or stifle what creativity I can muster.

I also enjoy humorous or ridiculous prompts from time to time.
