    Simple editing tool

Working on a piece recently I noticed I tend to over-use the conjunction though. I have discovered a site which, after copying your work into it, will count the words you use most frequently. It is possible to discount very small words (I, it, be, of, etc.), and you can list the 25/50/75/100 most used words in the text, which makes it suitable for works of all lengths.

Am I allowed to post a link, or name the site? I'm not sure about the rules regarding that sort of thing.
The sand of the desert is sodden red, -
Red with the wreck of a square that broke; -
The Gatling's jammed and the colonel dead,
And the regiment blind with dust and smoke.
The river of death has brimmed his banks,
And England's far, and Honour a name,
But the voice of schoolboy rallies the ranks,
"Play up! play up! and play the game!"

Hi Bil, this sounds like a brilliant and much needed gadget, but I have no idea about the link, you could drop a message on Like A Fox, LAFox is even nice to me.

Dr.Wicked created something similar; it was mentioned in an interview with him here on the site, if I can remember correctly. EditMinion - I'm interested to know what you've found.

Okay, this is it. It's called, simply, wordcounter.

    WordCounter

Hope it's as useful for others as I've found it today, and I shall be using it again.
