Thread: Writer's Resume?

I am wanting to send a query to a specific agent and they require a resume, and I am unsure how to go about it. Is it formatted like a typical job resume? Any tips?

Good question. I would imagine they would like to see some excerpts from your works and not just the conventional resume expected by most jobs. There are various resume services you could check out. I'm currently working on my resume as well.

Those accepting queries will have a description of what they want. Some may want to see the first chapter, others want you to simply tell them what type of book it is; some may want to know why you're into writing. You'll need to find out what the specific agent wants.
