I like Aidan, Jarrod and Tristan. I have always been a fan of the names Jordan, Connor and Christopher.

This one'd be good if I was writing a sword and sandals epic.

Toby sounds good. But then I've never been accused of having 'a touch of class' so that's probably not the name you need.

Giles and Alistair sound the classiest to me, but I prefer Giles. I don't hear the name often; I think it could work well if your character is an academic or something.

    Lucius or Lucian

    Reginald

    Clarence

    Eustace

    Xavier

    Virgil

    Cecil

    Marcus

    Gregory

    Cedric

Those are the best I could think of. Hope this was helpful, good luck .

    OX,

My advice: It doesn't matter at this point. It can always change and you probably will change it as you become engaged with your character. The only thing I make sure of, is not to use a name which can be part of another word, such as - Victor is part of victory, Don is part of donated, Ted is part of many past tense verbs, donated, prevaricated, etc. My reason for this is that I can change my character's names (which I often do) with word "search and replace" without screwing up other words.

A character with a touch of class? Should we assume he's not a native of Australia?

If he is an aussie, how about Shane, or Bluey?

Though looking at your list, I'd pick Marion.

The Gatling's jammed and the colonel dead,

And England's far, and Honour a name,
But the voice of schoolboy rallies the ranks,

If I'm honest, I didn't know that. I just googled it.

Gareth, because I can see it from a mature or classy or street name. And its an uncommon name enough so that people can interpret it as they may.

You've given me an idea, Candra - actually this is the second idea from you today (down here it's already the day they hung that ragged killjoy on the cross) but that's another story - maybe I should think about using a hyphenated name.

I think class comes with simplicity, so I'd choose something simple. I like Bruce, Bobby, Eric, Jim, Luke, Ted, and Toby. My favorite is Eric. My suggestions:

    Will/William
    James
    Wyatt
    David
    Hugo

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

    -Dr. Seuss-

"Can I have your [Dreamworx95's] autograph? Just in case. A couple of years it could be worth a fortune on eBay!"

    -DuKayne-

"Sheesh sundae topped with an ugh cherry."

    -Chester's Daughter-
